Finally read The Shack. It is such a compelling story that made me think of God in a much more human way. I am usually a very fast reader, but this book took me about 2 weeks to read, not because it was a boring read but because for once I read every single word and thought about what I had just read. I would find myself reading aloud to my husband amazed at how true the words were. Pick yourself up a copy today-you won’t regret it!

GPOYHW: This is our first home; it is green, not all that big, has mismatched hardwood floors, stains on the carpet (that is only 6 months old), cabinets that don’t shut all the way and at the present time dishes piled in the sink. But this house is OUR home and I love every good and bad detail of our first home.

My pretty pretty princess - Liddy Belle

I should note that although she looks sweet and innocent; she is a wild child who runs around our house like she is racing in the Daytona 500 , who chews on the computer cord & Daddy’s blackberry and who thinks her leash is a play toy. But I can’t stay mad at her because of this face.

I sent this quote to a dear friend of over 15 years who unfortunately has a bad habit of staying in bad relationships. The quote wasn’t meant to hurt her but to let her know I care. I haven’t heard from her since I sent it, which would usually hurt my feelings but it doesn’t this time. I know that she is pondering over it and the truth that lies in it.

My new year’s resolution was to start blogging more, well I have failed at that. I love reading blogs but maybe writing blogs isn’t my thing. Maybe I should be a follower and not a leader in the blog world. I am a leader in a lot of aspects in life but maybe this isn’t one of them, but I am not giving up yet.

So, let’s catch up. The new year has come and gone and in 2010, we have adopted a black lab mix, Liddy who is the love of my life. I always made fun of people who acting like their dogs were their kids…well yep that is me now. My camera broke so no pictures from 2010. I am in the market for a new camera but the funds are low so for now I will continue stealing images off of facebook:) We have been busy in our yard getting it ready for Spring. It is finally beginning to look like an adult yard. Other than that, life has been normal which is always good!

Here’s to 2010….I will be ringing in the New Year working but this will give me a chance to think about the things I want to do better in 2010 such as and in no particular order:

Spending more time with the hubs/family/friends

Blogging

Being positive

Starting each day with a brand new good attitude

And I won…

I just won my first item off of ebay, I know I am way behind, but you would have thought the way I was acting that I won the lottery but then I realized I have to pay for the item - they aren’t paying me to buy the item. But it still made my day and I see how people get addicted to ebay…the bidding thrill!

Joys of decorating…

Me: Help me hang this garland on the banister

Me: Make sure it is long enough…is it long enough?

Him: Why didn’t you figure out the logistics before we started decorating?

Me: HAHAHAH!

Thankful

Although I may complain about my job, I sure am thankful for it. I am thankful for the steady income that helps pay our bills every month and allows me to buy something for myself every now and again. But I am especially thankful for it in times where there are so many people that don’t have jobs. So today I thank my place of employment, I may bitch and complain about you often but I don’t know what I would do without you!
